Drug and Alcohol Use Policy

 

  1. Purpose

Sirvoce LLC ("the Company") is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and productive work environment for all employees, clients, and visitors. The purpose of this Drug and Alcohol Policy is to ensure that all employees understand the Company’s expectations regarding drug and alcohol use and the potential consequences of policy violations.

 

  1. Scope
    • This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and agents of Sirvoce LLC. It covers all work-related activities, whether conducted on Company premises, in Company vehicles, or at off-site locations where Company business is conducted.
  2. Zero Tolerance for Drug and Alcohol Use

The Company has a zero-tolerance policy for the use of illegal drugs, the abuse of prescription medications, or the consumption of alcohol during work hours or while performing any work-related duties. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Illegal Drugs: The use, possession, sale, or distribution of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.
  • Prescription Medications: Employees must use prescription medications only as prescribed by a licensed healthcare provider. Abuse of prescription medications is not tolerated.
  • Alcohol: The consumption of alcohol or being under the influence of alcohol while on duty or performing work-related duties is strictly prohibited.
  1. Driving Under the Influence
    • Employees who are required to drive as part of their job responsibilities must never operate a vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Any violation of this policy will result in immediate termination of employment.
  2. Safe Transportation
    • The Company encourages responsible behavior and prioritizes the safety of its employees. If an employee finds themselves under the influence of drugs or alcohol and unable to drive safely, the Company will cover the cost of an Uber, Lyft, or other ride service to ensure the employee gets home safely. Employees are expected to notify their supervisor immediately in such situations.

 

  1. Drug and Alcohol Testing

The Company reserves the right to conduct drug and alcohol testing in accordance with applicable laws. Testing may be conducted under the following circumstances:

  • Pre-Employment Testing: As part of the hiring process.
  • Random Testing: On an unannounced basis for employees in safety-sensitive positions.
  • Post-Accident Testing: Following any work-related accident or incident where drug or alcohol use is suspected.
  • Reasonable Suspicion Testing: When there is reasonable suspicion that an employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol while on duty.

 

  1. Consequences of Policy Violations

Any violation of this Drug and Alcohol Policy will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Disciplinary actions may include, but are not limited to:

  • Immediate Termination: For driving under the influence or performing work-related duties while impaired.
  • Suspension: Pending investigation of a suspected policy violation.
  • Mandatory Rehabilitation: As a condition of continued employment, where applicable.

 

  1. Confidentiality

The Company will take all reasonable steps to ensure the confidentiality of drug and alcohol test results and related information. Access to this information will be restricted to individuals with a legitimate need to know, as determined by the Company.

 

  1. Employee Assistance
    • Sirvoce LLC supports employees who voluntarily seek help for substance abuse issues. Employees are encouraged to seek assistance before drug or alcohol use affects their work performance. The Company may provide information about available counseling, rehabilitation programs, and other resources.

 

  1. Amendments

Sirvoce LLC reserves the right to amend or update this Drug and Alcohol Policy at any time. Employees will be notified of any changes to the policy and are responsible for adhering to the updated terms.
